Connect2 Tower Hamlets is a walking and cycling route that will link Bethnal Green tube station with Victoria Park.

Portrait Bench Opening Ceremony, Monday 15th August 2011, 2pm, Meath Bridge

Tottenham and England footballer Ledley King will be there from 3pm, alongside representatives from the Sylvia Pankhurst Trust and British Waterways.

Sustrans’ Connect2 is revitalising walking and cycling in 79 communities across the UK by creating new routes for the local journeys we all make every day.
